1) Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MyuPDF (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MyuPDF mobile application (the “App”). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

2) Authentication & Accounts

The App uses Firebase Authentication to let you sign in with:

Google Sign-In Facebook Login

When you sign in, Firebase receives basic profile data from your chosen provider. We collect and store only the minimum required data for account creation and login:

Name (display name)
Email address
User ID (Firebase UID; provider ID)
Optionally a profile photo URL from the provider (not required)

We do not create additional server-side profiles beyond Firebase Auth unless explicitly stated elsewhere in this Policy.

3) Information We Collect

3.1 Account data (via Firebase Auth)

Items listed in Section 2 (Name, Email, User ID, optional photo URL). This data is not processed ephemerally and is required to create and manage your account. Purpose: app functionality and account management.

3.2 Files & content

On-device processing: Many PDF actions occur locally on your device.
Server-side processing (if used): Some conversions may briefly upload a file to our servers. Uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing completes. We do not read or retain file contents beyond the processing operation.

3.3 Diagnostics & analytics

We may use analytics to improve stability and UX (e.g., approximate device/OS info, crash data, session counts). If Google Analytics/Firebase Analytics is enabled, data is handled under Google’s policies.

3.4 Advertising (AdMob)

If ads are shown, Google AdMob may receive device identifiers, coarse location, and usage signals to deliver and measure ads. You can reset Ad ID in device settings.

3.5 Permissions

Storage: to read/write PDFs you choose.
Camera (optional): for document scanning features.

4) How We Use Information

Authenticate users and maintain sessions
Perform PDF edits/conversions and save files you choose
Provide account features, purchases, and receipts via Google Play
Improve reliability and user experience (diagnostics/analytics)
Show and measure advertising where applicable
Comply with legal requirements and enforce terms

6) Data Retention

Account data: Stored in Firebase until you delete your account or request deletion.
PDF files (server-side jobs): Auto-deleted immediately after processing completes.
Analytics/ad data: Retained per provider policies.

7) Security

We use HTTPS/TLS in transit and industry-standard safeguards. No method is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize collection and retention.

8) Your Choices

Sign-in choice: Use Google or Facebook, or sign out anytime.
Ad ID: Reset/limit ad tracking in device settings.
Data access/deletion: See Section 9.

9) Data & Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at: myupdf.com/delete-account or email [email protected] from your signed-in email. We process requests within 168 hours and confirm by email.

10) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.

11) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide in-app or website notice.
